The role
Sharper AI Agency is an AI transformation firm for life sciences. We embed with biotech, pharma, and medtech leadership teams to identify use cases, build the rollout, manage the change, and prove the ROI. AI tools are easy. Getting humans to use them is the work.
As a Principal, you own 2 to 3 enterprise life sciences accounts. CEO-level trust at each one. You're the AI brain at the C-suite table. You own the roadmap, sequence the use cases, lead the change management, and translate AI to P&L impact in language the CFO understands.
What you'll own
- 2 to 3 active life sciences clients at any given time. CEO and exec-team trust at each one.
- The AI transformation roadmap. Use case identification, sequencing, rollout, measurement.
- The hard part. People, change management, organizational transformation.
- Use case tracking and ROI. Show impact in throughput, time savings, quality gains, cost takeout. Defended at the C-suite.
- Visibility in life sciences as a thought leader.
What you bring
- 8 to 12 years experience. Ex-MBB Engagement Manager or Principal preferred (McKinsey Pharma & Med Products, Bain Healthcare, BCG Health). Or equivalent strategy/transformation leader from inside life sciences.
- You've personally led a $1M+ engagement at a biotech, pharma, or medtech client. End to end. Not just the pitch.
- Deep AI-native daily flow. Claude is open in your browser right now. You can describe a workflow or product you built with n8n/python/typescript or equivalent in the last 60 days.
- Change management chops. You've actually moved an organization, not just advised on it.
- Comfort being the AI brain at the C-suite table. You can translate AI to P&L impact for a CFO without losing them in jargon.
- Willing to be visible. Speak, write, panel, podcast. The platform is part of the role.
What you won't deal with
- Airport-lounge life. Hybrid model. San Diego HQ preferred, or willing to travel 1 to 2 days per week to client sites.
- Up-or-out. We grow as the firm grows. No tournament.
- Slide theater. We sell engagements on outcomes.
- Cold-call sales quotas. You bring deals to the table through visibility; closing is leadership.
- Writing code. You're a consulting principal, not an engineer. Builders execute the technical work.
